Connecting your sources

Connect your Gmail account

Add your Google account in Settings, Connected accounts, and sign in on Google’s own page. itogai reads who you write to, when, and how often, and never the body of your emails.

Connecting a Google account lets itogai read who you write to, when, and how often, so it can score your relationships. It never reads or stores the body of your emails, and email stays at metadata only, permanently.

  1. Go to Settings, then Connected accounts.

  2. Choose Add Google account.

  3. itogai shows what it reads, what it derives, and what it never stores. Read it and continue.

  4. Sign in on Google’s own page and allow the permission itogai asks for. Google treats it as restricted, which is why itogai holds App Defense Alliance CASA verification at Assurance Level 1 (formerly Tier 2), renewed annually by a new Letter of Validation.

  5. Back in itogai, the account appears in the Email accounts table with its state. The first read takes a few minutes. When it’s done, open TrustRings™ and choose Get Recommendations.

Good to know:

  • You can hold one connected email account on the Free plan, two on the Growth plan, and unlimited on the Ultimate plan. Disconnecting a mailbox frees its slot.

  • If this is your first source, your 30 days of the Growth plan start now.

  • A Google Workspace administrator can block the connection for a company domain. If Google won’t let you continue, ask your administrator.

  • You can disconnect at any time, in itogai or in your Google account settings.
