Import a CSV of people or companies

Upload a spreadsheet of people or companies you already know in Settings, Connected accounts, choose the columns you want to keep, and confirm. itogai reads those columns and nothing else.

A CSV import brings in people or companies you already know from a spreadsheet: a contacts export, a client list, or the accounts you want to reach. itogai reads the columns you choose and nothing else.

  1. Save the file as a .csv with a header row and one row per person or company. Useful columns for people are name, email, company, and role. For companies, name and website.

  2. Go to Settings, then Connected accounts, and under Data sources choose CSV.

  3. Upload the file and match each column you want to keep to its field (name, email, company, and so on). Columns you leave out are discarded at import and never stored.

  4. Confirm the import. When it finishes, the people and companies appear in My Network, and TrustRings™ can suggest their circles.

Good to know:

  • If a row matches someone already in your account, itogai flags it as a possible duplicate instead of creating a second record, and you decide.

  • A file that contains email message bodies is refused. Export contacts, not mail.

  • There is no import quota, and every import is available on every plan. The only cap is your plan’s number of people in TrustRings (50 on the Free plan, 200 on the Growth plan, unlimited on the Ultimate plan), and reaching it never deletes anything.

  • itogai tells the people in your file nothing at the moment of import. You’re responsible for them as the controller of that data, and you can point them to itogai.app/legal/network-notice.

  • To work company-first, import your target accounts, then ask Akai™ who can get you into each one, or open Paths.
