Your LinkedIn connections come in from the data export LinkedIn prepares for you. itogai never logs into your LinkedIn account, and nothing posts, sends, or connects there.

Request the export from LinkedIn

  1. In LinkedIn, open your settings and find the option to get a copy of your data.

  2. Choose an export that includes your connections. The smallest option that includes Connections is enough.

  3. Request it and wait for LinkedIn’s email. It can take up to 24 hours, and the archive can arrive in two installments.

  4. Download the .zip file. Don’t open or edit it.

Upload it to itogai

  1. Go to Settings, then Connected accounts.

  2. Under Data sources, choose LinkedIn, then Manually upload.

  3. Read what itogai reads and never stores, and continue.

  4. Upload the .zip as it arrived, or the Connections .csv inside it.

  5. When the import finishes, open TrustRings™ and choose Get Recommendations.

Good to know:

  • The Connections file becomes your list of first-degree connections in itogai, with the date you connected.

  • If the first installment doesn’t include Connections yet, wait for the second one and upload that.

  • If this is your first source, your 30 days of the Growth plan start when the import completes.
