Set up your ideal customer profiles and buyer personas

Describe to Akai who you want to reach, keep or change what it proposes, and filter Paths by ICP or buyer persona to see who fits and who can introduce you.

An ideal customer profile (ICP) describes the companies you want to reach, and a buyer persona describes the people inside them. itogai uses both to show you the people and paths in your own network that fit.

  1. If you chose to get a warm intro during onboarding, Akai™ already asked who you want to reach. Otherwise, open Akai with Ask Akai and describe it: the kind of company, its size or stage, the roles you talk to, and the markets you care about.

  2. Review what Akai proposes, and keep, change, or drop each profile. You can come back and refine them anytime.

  3. Open Paths and filter by ICP or buyer persona to see who in your network fits and who can introduce you.

Good to know:

  • itogai only looks inside the people and companies you brought in. It never builds a list of strangers for you, so a profile with no matches usually means the right people aren’t in your sources yet.

  • Every suggestion comes with its reason in plain language, and a match is support for your own judgment, never a verdict.
